Just in time for my birthday, AMA releases its quarterly list of new PLA codes (version October 1, 2024).

In addition to brand-new codes, AMA publishes its PLA code list as a rolling list of all approved codes since the prior annual code book. For October 1, 2 revised codes, 5 deleted codes, and 10 new codes.

Codes released now on October 1 beging on page 23 with code 0521U and run up to 0530U.
New FDA tests include Pillar OncoReveal CDx (a Pillar test running on an ILMN platform) at 0523U, and Thermo Fisher's kit sFlt-1/PIGF, an FDA-approved pre-eclampsia test reported as a ratio, at 0524U.
Also new and FDA cleared are 0527U, Abbot Alinity HSV1,2, and ZVZ, and 0528U, Biofire Penumonia Panel (18 bacteria, 8 viruses, and 7 AMR resistance genes).
